Written by Noel Gallagher, Columbia was the song that first introduced Oasis to a national audience after BBC Radio 1 championed the track in 1993, playing it nineteen times in just two weeks. Named after the Columbia Hotel in Bayswater, where the band stayed during their early trips to London, it would later open side one of Definitely Maybe, helping to launch
